"This is a course to walk on and environment to enjoy..."
Lorne Rubenstein
to the web site of Scarboro Golf & Country Club. With a history dating back to 1912,we are proud of our many great traditions. The site of four Canadian Opens and several amateur championships, our club and golf course has stood the test of time. We were recently ranked in the top 75 golf courses in Canada and 26th in Ontario. We hosted the Toronto Star Women's Amateur City Championships in 2002 and 2003 and hosted the Toronto Star Men's Amateur City Championship in 2006 and looking forward to hosting it again in 2007.
The tradition continues with our latest renovation in the Clubhouse - the new Tillinghast Lounge and Bistro. A.W. Tillinghast, one of North Americas greatest golf course designers, left his mark on Scarboro in 1924 when he redesigned the course. The designer of the famed Winged Foot and Baltusrol, his presence will not be forgotten and we are proud to name the lounge in his honour. We recently renovated our men's and ladies' locker facilities which are now the envy of many other clubs. The Victorian clubhouse with its sprawling verandah is one of the highlights of Scarboro. Our members and their guests enjoy an active social program that includes some of the best dining in the City. The new bistro offers casual elegance in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Members are encouraged to visit the site often for regular Club updates. Guests are welcome to browse the site and make inquiries about membership and/or hosting a function at the Club.
Enjoy your tour and thank you for visiting the official web site of Scarboro Golf & Country Club.
